My name is Cornelius Rainsford and my first novel '666 and a 9 millimetre' has been
self published by Grosvenor House Publishing. Although '666 and a 9 millimetre' is
a gangster story set in 60's London, my second work 'The Beggar's Bowl' (due out
soon) is a fantasy adventure trilogy concerning dwarves and elves. I have also written
an epic tale 'Tadlers Warren' about stoats and their battle against evil. The wild
badger with me in the photo inspired certain characters in Tadlers Warren. Two years
ago she began visiting my home each night for bread -
I was born in Southern Ireland in 1950. Then I moved with my family to England in 1959. My first job upon leaving school was in a greengrocer and my second was in Insurance. After that I spent over twenty years working in optics, and during that time I developed a love of poetry and classical music. In 1978 I began writing to composers in many parts of the world, requesting samples of their music. The results are now in The Students Reading Room of The British Library. For a time I was a photographer for The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2002 I was forced to retire due to failing eyesight, and so I began concentrating on the novels I had written. I am continuing to write new works and intend to eventually publish them all. write new works and intend to eventually publish them all.
